From the U.S. to abroad
Citizenship, immigration status, destination, trip length, age, and personal circumstances can change what is needed. Every traveler should verify both the destination's entry rules and the documents needed to return to the United States.
U.S. citizen travelers
A passport alone may not be enough. Entry documents are set by each destination and can change, so they must be checked for the traveler's exact itinerary.
A U.S. passport card is not valid for international air travel. Visa rules, passport validity, blank-page rules, health records, and minor-consent documents vary by destination.
Non-U.S. citizen travelers
USCIS travel documents address return to the United States; they do not replace a passport or the visa and entry rules imposed by the destination country.
Generally travel with a valid passport from their country of citizenship and evidence of U.S. permanent residence. Long absences or individual immigration history can affect return and require legal guidance before departure.
Leaving the United States without the appropriate travel authorization may affect a pending application. Advance parole does not guarantee admission and can involve case-specific risks.
A Refugee Travel Document may be required before departure. Traveling with or returning to the country connected to a protection claim can have legal consequences.
Visa holders, TPS beneficiaries, parolees, and others may need status-specific documents for departure and return in addition to destination requirements.
Legal guidance required
Carrying a Green Card, reentry permit, advance parole document, refugee travel document, visa, or other authorization does not guarantee admission. A CBP officer determines admissibility at the port of entry. Travelers with pending cases, extended absences, prior immigration issues, or uncertainty about the correct document should consult a licensed immigration attorney or Department of Justice–accredited representative before travel.
Current USCIS alert: Certain travelers using advance parole may face serious inadmissibility consequences after departure, including travelers with more than 180 days of unlawful presence. Obtain case-specific legal advice before leaving the United States.
PF services
PF provides online, non-attorney preparation support when the customer already knows the specific document, form or service being requested — USCIS forms, passport paperwork, visa application paperwork and other government forms.
Every engagement is customer-directed: the customer names the filing, PF organizes and prepares it. Government filing fees are separate from PF's service fee.
Administrative help organizing customer-provided information and supporting documents for a USCIS form the customer has specifically identified — including travel-document filings such as Form I-131 and the carrier-documentation Form I-131A. PF does not decide whether a reentry permit, refugee travel document, advance parole document or any other request is appropriate for the customer.
Preparation help for customer-requested U.S. passport applications and renewals, including child passport paperwork and replacement of a lost or damaged passport. The U.S. Department of State issues passports and decides every application.
Preparation help completing a visa or travel-authorization application the customer has already identified for a specific destination. The issuing government decides every application, and PF does not choose a visa category for anyone.
Preparation help with other customer-identified federal, state or local government forms and supporting paperwork, within permitted non-attorney document-preparation services. Availability for a specific form is confirmed before any engagement begins.
PF does not choose a form or immigration path, assess eligibility, interpret legal consequences, represent customers before an agency, or promise approval, admission, processing time, or any other outcome.

No automatic transfer
Visiting Purpose & Passport™ or planning a trip does not make anyone a document-preparation client. A separate request, disclosure, scope and agreement are required, and no travel record, sensitive document or payment moves into a PF matter without the customer's consent.

Requests are handled by PF Consulting Firm directly. Purpose & Passport™ does not collect passport numbers, passport or visa images, dates of birth or other sensitive identity documents through this website.
